New Way to Verify Your Continued SBP Eligibility
 
The Defense Finance and Accounting Office has made it easier for survivors to verify their eligibility for Survivor Benefit Plan annuity payments. They now only need to submit one form of verification annually to determine eligibility.

Understanding loss is difficult — especially for children and teens. Find support from Sesame Street for Military Families for all ages. Order the Trevor Romain Memory Box, which includes a video to help with their grief, a special box for keepsakes, a grief journal, colored pencils and a stuffed animal to hug.

Survivor Education Benefits
As a surviving spouse or child, you may be eligible for education benefits. Learn about assistance programs from the Department of Veterans Affairs and other exclusive scholarship opportunities.

Know Your Benefits Via OSBR Course
Changes such as the elimination of the Survivor Benefits Plan-Dependency Indemnity Compensation offset and certain life events can affect your benefits. Take the Online Survivor Benefits Report course to get help navigating your finances as benefit changes occur. Log in to enroll.

Free, Confidential Counseling
Eligible survivors can access free, confidential counseling services to get help with grief, stress and more. Connect in person, over the phone or online for up to 12 sessions.
