Taking care of our people remains a priority for the Defense Department. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced new initiatives for supporting the well-being and economic security of our military community.
These new initiatives and benefits will:

Strengthen support for military parents through new flexible spending accounts, fund pre-K at DoDEA schools, and expanded parental leave for birth and nonbirth parents.

Support military families with exceptional needs with consultants who can offer personalized guidance and recommendations.

Assist military spouses with licensure and expanded access to scholarships.
