Social Security Payroll Tax Deferral
A presidential memorandum issued on Aug. 8, 2020, enacted the temporary deferral of Social Security Tax withholdings for many service members through Dec. 31, 2020. If your take-home pay increases due to the deferral, you will have higher withholdings after Jan. 1, 2021.
