MilKids and College Funding
May 29 is National 529 Day. It's a great time to talk with military parents about saving for their children's college tuition. A lot of funding and scholarships are specially designed for military children, but some may have special requirements. For example, before transferring Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits, service members must have completed six years of service and agree to four additional years.

Many companies offer military discounts in conjunction with Armed Forces Day, May 18, and National Military Appreciation Month. Service members can also save big on events, experiences and travel by buying their tickets through Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR).
