Journal of DoD Research and Engineering (JDR&E) Monthly Announcements
*************************************************************************

*** We are excited to announce that we will publish Volume 3, Issue 2 of the JDR&E in July 2020 after the Independence Day holiday. This issue will include controlled unclassified articles in multiple Communities of Interest. The SIPR issue also will include a classified article. This issue will include op-ed articles on COVID-19, including one from the LTG Ronald J. Place, Director of the Defense Health Agency.

*** If you have not already seen it, Volume 3, Issue 1 of the JDR&E is available! Access your copy of the NIPR journal or download individual articles at Caution-https://go.usa.gov/xwUTJ. Access your copy of the SIPR journal or download individual articles at Caution-https://www.dodtechipedia.smil.mil/dodwiki/x/HgAFD.

*** The NIPR version of this issue features articles covering topics across eight Communities of Interest, and the SIPR edition features additional classified articles. As appropriate, feel free to share this email with anyone you know whose work could benefit from reading this journal.

*** While we all continue to respond to COVID-19, the JDR&E remains available through its usual access. We remain interested in submissions for future publications and in peer review support. In addition to articles in other Communities of Interest, we also welcome submissions of COVID-related articles.

*** The JDRE actively seeks to increase our pool of peer reviewers and NIPR / SIPR article submissions representing all 17 Communities of Interest in order to increase ongoing collaboration in the DoD R&E communities. For more information about how to apply to be a peer reviewer or to submit an article, visit Caution-https://go.usa.gov/xwUbC . We would be honored for you to join this valuable collaborative effort! View a copy of our new Peer Reviewer Application Form to start.

*** As part of DoD’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) has developed a DoDTechipedia page linking to technical reports on coronaviruses, infectious diseases, ventilators, and other related topics. Please check out the link:

*** What’s the value of DTIC’s DoD-funded research collections?
The Defense Technical Information Center’s (DTIC) research collections help the S&T community build on past work and avoid duplication of efforts to accelerate the fielding of critical technology solutions for our warfighters. Get started today at Caution-https://go.usa.gov/xwPzp to search over 4.6 million DoD-funded records including technical reports, planned and completed research projects, and peer-reviewed, controlled unclassified and classified research articles published in the Journal of DoD Research and Engineering. Need help? Contact 1-800-225-DTIC (3842) and choose option 1 or email dtic.belvoir.us.mbx.reference@mail.mil.

*** In addition to our regularly scheduled issues, we look forward to publication of future special editions that may focus on particular Communities of Interest. If you are interested in possible participation in such special editions, please feel free to contact roger.a.garay.civ@mail.mil for more information.

*** In coordination with the Combatant Command (CCMD) S&T advisors, DTIC has created a SIPR DoDTechipedia page, which hosts CCMD Integrated Priority Lists at the classified/Distribution E level, to facilitate further coordination of Warfighter needs. Please check out the link:
