Redesigned Forensics and Intrusions in a Windows Environment (FIWE) Course: Coming Soon
Forensics and Intrusions in a Windows Environment (FIWE) is an 80-hour in residence scenario-based training course that develops students’ skills in conducting a full investigation of a network intrusion. FIWE is designed for Defense Criminal Investigative Organizations, Department of Defense intrusion analysts, network operators, and investigators. Students conduct forensic examinations of victim devices, analyze log data and network traffic data, create an event timeline, perform malware analysis, and prepare reports of their findings. These skills prepare students to perform a variety of network investigations. FIWE contains three modules and culminates in a final, graded exam.

In this CyberCast, the rising threat of ransomware is examined. The rapidly expanding global risks of ransomware, as well as some mitigations that can be put into place against it are discussed.
