JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Thirty Air Force captains have been selected to participate in two Phoenix Horizon development programs, Air Mobility Command officials announced Aug. 28.
The Phoenix Horizon selection board, which convened at Scott Air Force Base July 30, selected 11 officers for Phoenix Mobility (Contingency Response and Enroute Mobility Enterprise Broadening program) and 19 officers for Phoenix Reach (Military Weapon System Crossflow program) said Maj. Aaron Torczynski, AMC Rated Officer and Civilian Development chief.
According to Torczynski, these force development programs are very competitive and serve as foundational elements of Air Mobility Command’s approach to officer development.
“The AMC Phoenix Horizon programs are a tremendous opportunity to enhance the development of all selected officers through exposure to various mobility missions, training opportunities and senior leader mentorship,” he said.
