McChord aeromedical evacuation Reservists back from numerous deployments
About 30 Air Force Reservists from the 446th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron who've returned from deployments around the globe, celebrated with friends and family at a "welcome home" barbecue here, Oct. 3.
Commissaries host on-site sales for Reservists
All DOD ID card holders, including DOD retirees and dependents, who can make their way to Yakima, Wash., this weekend are invited to shop a commissary on-site sale set for Oct. 12-13. Or, you could head to Roseburg, Ore., also Oct. 12-13.

Reserve wing's Care and Share program aids Airmen, seeks support
McChord Reservists facing financial emergencies can turn to the 446th Force Support Squadron's Airman and Family Readiness Center's Care and Share program. Soon, however, the Care and Share program will need to turn to the 446th Airlift Wing's Airmen for help.
Team McChord begins Operation Deep Freeze missions
Airmen from 62nd and 446th Airlift Wings kicked off their participation in the 2012-2013 Operation Deep Freeze main season, transporting National Science Foundation cargo and personnel to McMurdo Station, Antarctica, Oct. 1.
Airmen showcase C-17 to New Zealanders
Thousands of New Zealanders visited the Christchurch International Airport for a chance to get a glimpse inside the cockpit of a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, which deployed to Christchurch from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Sep. 29 in support of Operation Deep Freeze 2012.
