Flag Officer Announcement Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the President has made the following nomination: Navy Vice Adm. Frank C. Pandolfe for reappointment to the rank of vice admiral and for assignment as director, strategic plans and policy, J-5, Joint Staff; and senior member, United States Delegation to the United Nations Military Staff Committee, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Pandolfe is currently serving as commander, Sixth Fleet/commander, Striking and Support Forces NATO/deputy commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe/deputy commander, U.S. Naval Forces Africa/ commander, Joint Force Maritime Component, Europe, Naples, Italy.
