U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter shares a laugh with Marines assigned to Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait, Oct. 17, 2012. Carter is on a seven-day trip to the MIddle East to meet with leaders and counterparts in the region.
