Navy sailors and Marines man the rails of the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island as the ship passes under the San Francisco Bay Bridge at the end of San Francisco Fleet Week 2012 in San Francisco, Oct. 9, 2012. The event, which ran from Oct. 3-8, brought more than 2,500 sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen from four ships to the city.
