Actor, humanitarian and musician Gary Sinise becomes an honorary chief petty officer during a ceremony at the Navy Memorial and Naval Heritage Center in Washington, D.C., Aug. 24, 2012. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Michael Stevens, who is slated to become the next Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, presented Sinise with his cover.
