U.S. Army joint airdrop inspection riggers rig static lines for an airdrop on a C-17 Globemaster III at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia, May 4, 2012. The U.S. Air Forces Air Mobility Division uses the C-17 as one of two aerial resupply platforms. In 2011, the division directed the dropping of more than 58,000 bundles of critical supplies to personnel in austere combat outposts.
