Army Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond T. Odierno presents the Slver Star Medal to Sgt. M. Joshua Laughery during a ceremony on Fort Polk, La., May 1, 2012. Laughery received the medal for his actions during a battle in Afghanistan's Wardak province on Sept. 12, 2011.
