AFPIMS 5.0 Development Update - Wednesday, January 24, 2018

AFPIMS Users,

 

Defense Enterprise Media Systems performed AFPIMS maintenance on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. The following is a summary of fixes and/or enhancements that were completed:

 

Multiple Instances:

  • Installed fix to have the Shared Media Manager image height/width size max changed to 900px. [All Instances]
  • Installed fix to remove obsolete DNN 6 specific code on Shared Media Manager - Edit page. [All Instances]
  • Fixed object reference error searching in Shared Media Manager. [All Instances]
  • Fixed ability to have an empty publish date when saving a Shared Media Manager collections draft. [All Instances]
  • Fixed Shared Media Service “Delete File” function to also remove “Related Files”. [All Instances]
  • Installed fix to ensure when original image owners delete an image from the Shared Media Manager, images are also removed from “shared to” sites. [All Instances]
  • Installed fix to dynamically create media collection list pages based on combinations of tags and categories queries. [All Instances]
  • Installed Title, Tag and Description single text box search to display photo essays on the photo essays archive page. [All Instances]
  • Fixed version issues with DNN Events. [All Instances]
  • Fixed date validation for individual Shared Media Manager files so it updates correctly. [All Instances]
  • Updated SQL query so images only used by the Image Links module can’t be deleted in the Shared Media Manager. [All Instances]
  • Implemented in-line help for the Article Dashboard module. [All Instances]
  • Implemented in-line help for the Slideshow module. [All Instances]
  • Update to increase security on Form module. [All Instances]
  • Implemented in-line help for the Image Gallery module. [All Instances]
  • Fixed Forms module date and date time fields so Form changes are error-free. [All Instances]
  • Fixed Read More link content to be 508 compliant in the Article Dashboard and Article List modules. [All Instances]
  • Fixed XSS issues, SQL injection issues and Contextual escaping issues with Form and Shared Library methods relating to Form. [All Instances]
  • Added notification when an Article is deleted. All users that have shared the Article on their site will be notified that the original Article has been deleted. [All Instances]
  • Updated DVIDS Media Player to keep CC on for all videos when turned on for one video. [All Instances]

USAF

  • Fixed line spacing issue on photo titles in the Shared Media Manager.
  • Updated the Shared Media Dashboard module to allow users to control items displayed in the module (similar to Media Collections List).
  • Fixed issue with Search functionality not working in Form and List module.

USACE

  • Fixed issue where user was unable to edit certain aspects of the Expandable Text module due to overlapping fields.
  • Changed color of Events Module Title Text to white.

 

DGOV

  • Fixed a contextual escaping issue on the Article CS module settings.
  • In the Special Report Article CS Type, made all Primary Thumb images default to Headline Media.
  • Fixed issue with Slideshow module displaying an image with black border at the top.
  • Updated Date formatting in DVIDS Media Player to be AP Style.
  • Removed “Alpha” text from News Release template.

USMC

  • Fixed Article CS module to display numbered pagination.
  • Fixed issue with Dateline information appearing in the wrong place.
  • Added ability to remove unwanted Statuses in Article CS.
  • Added YouTube option to Social Media tabs.
  • Added padding above FILTER in Article CS.

 

USCG

  • Fixed Shared Media Manager so categories can be deleted from the module settings.

 

  • Added Last Name field to Article CS Biographies template.

 

NAVY

  • Fixed Twitter feed pictures so they resize to a smaller size like the Facebook feeds.

DOD

  • Fixed the Slideshow module so the image’s text background gradient goes all the way across the image.
  • Fixed issue so HTML does not appear with content on the live/front end of the site.
  • Fixed issue with Form module so new fields can be added with a 500 character limit.
  • Fixed issue where sub menus were opening to the left and off screen.
  • Fixed issue where Paging setting were not saved in the Form and List module.

 

Training Updates

  • Courses
    • Admin: Added simulation testing and shortened course.
  • Quick Reference Guides
    • Updated Google API guide to match Google changes
    • Updated Social Media Feed guide to better reflect changes to information entered to pull in from Facebook and Twitter.
    • Updated all other guides to fix typos and other minor errors.
  • User Manual
    • Added section covering Events Modules.
    • Added sections of SEO and Security.
    • Reviewed and fixed errors in other sections of the manual.
