Secretary Raimondo Meets with Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness

Recently, Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo met with the Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness (ACSCC) to receive updates, hear recommendations, and gather additional feedback on supply chain-related issues. During the meeting, Secretary Raimondo underscored the importance of the ACSCC’s recommendations to help inform Administration supply chain-related policies and initiatives, including interagency supply chain assessments and studies conducted under Executive Order (E.O.) 14017, “America’s Supply Chains.”

Joint Announcement: U.S. Department of Commerce and Singapore Ministry of Communications and Information Launch Partnership Program to Empower Women in Tech

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo and Singapore’s Minister for Communications and Information Josephine Teo announced the launch of the U.S.-Singapore Women in Tech Partnership Program, a platform for budding and experienced women tech leaders from Singapore and the United States to establish new international contacts and networks. The program will debut as part of the 2022 SelectUSA Investment Summit in National Harbor, Maryland.

It is estimated these visitors would spend $279 billion annually—expenditures that will support job creation in communities across the United States, its territories, and the District of Columbia.

Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves concluded a four-day visit to The Hague, Netherlands, and Brussels, Belgium to advance bilateral economic and security relations between the United States and partners in Europe. “We had very productive talks in both The Hague and Brussels that will further strengthen the U.S.-EU transatlantic partnership,” said Commerce Deputy Secretary Don Graves.
