 DKI APCSS Joins Strategic Workshop in the Philippines
DKI APCSS Faculty and staff participated in the “Strategic Scenarios and Signals: Examining the Drivers of Strategic Choice” workshop at the Philippines Public Safety College. The event included about 60 officials, including alumni from Philippine academia, the National Security Council, the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, and the departments of National Defense, Health, and Education.  DKI APCSS Team Engages with Indonesian Leaders
In February, a DKI APCSS team led by Deputy Director Russell Bailey visited Indonesia to meet with U.S. Embassy officials, senior Indonesian defense and security leaders, and DKI APCSS alumni. Discussions with key institutions, including the Ministries of Defence and Foreign Affairs, the Indonesian National Defence University, and the National Research and Innovation Agency, focused on enhancing executive education and strengthening professional networks for Indonesian security professionals in the Indo-Pacific.  Joint Statement Reaffirming a Shared Commitment to Defense Industrial Resilience
DKI APCSS was featured in the U.S. Department of War’s Joint Statement Reaffirming a Shared Commitment to Defense Industrial Resilience on Friday. The Center has been actively supporting this program in the last couple of years and completed the first Multinational Armaments Resilience Seminar (MARS) in January. The next four-week seminar will kick off in May in Washington, D.C., with follow-on sessions in Australia, Korea, and Honolulu.  DKI APCSS hosted Maj. Gen. Patrick Teague, Col. Kyle Marcrum, and 20 Army Foreign Area Officer fellows from the U.S. Army War College. The group, nearing the end of their China Strategic Competition Course, discussed regional perspectives on China’s activities in South Asia, East Asia, and Oceania with DKI APCSS faculty. This visit highlights the importance of collaboration and shared understanding in addressing the complex security challenges in the Indo-Pacific.

Alumni Reunion in Jakarta
In February, a DKI APCSS team led by Deputy Director Russel Bailey visited Indonesia for engagements with U.S. Embassy officials, senior defense leaders, and alumni. Over 80 Fellows, including 11 flag-rank alumni, attended a reception hosted by CDC Peter Haymond at the U.S. Ambassador’s residence. Bailey honored career advancements and awarded 15 Laulima Lanyards for completed Fellow Projects, highlighting Indonesia’s impressive 47% completion rate—the highest among 64 global associations.

Strengthening Ties in the Philippines: DKI APCSS Alumni Making an Impact!
Led by Professor Lori Forman, a DKI APCSS team engaged with the Philippines' 600-member alumni network. Dr. Andrea Malji hosted a mentors roundtable, connecting alumni with future leaders to advance impactful Fellow Projects, like Sherwin Ona's Cyber-Leadership Executive Course for non-IT government executives. The Philippine alumni's enthusiasm highlights their dedication to regional security and mentorship.
