Secret Service Hosts Cyber Incident Response Simulation

The training was the seventh of its kind and the fifth virtual event conducted with the agency’s Cyber Fraud Task Force partners

This week, the U.S. Secret Service hosted a virtual Cyber Incident Response Simulation with state and municipal government officials focused on ransomware attacks and mitigation strategies. Ransomware is a type of malicious software cyber criminals use to deny access to systems or data.

2020 Annual Report

The Secret Service works diligently each year to achieve our integrated mission of protecting our nation’s leaders and financial infrastructure. Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 was certainly unprecedented, as we navigated through the global COVID-19 pandemic, nationwide civil unrest, a Presidential Campaign and a historically high number of protectees.

In spite of these challenges, the Secret Service remained resilient and adapted to achieve continued mission success. The annual report reflects the accomplishments of the Secret Service during FY 2020.
