ICE and CBP officials return artifacts to Peru

 

WASHINGTON – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Assistant Director for International Affairs (IA), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Luis Alvarez and Acting Executive Director, International Operations Division, Office of International Affairs for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Abdias Ortiz announce the repatriation of Peruvian artifacts shipped illegally to the United States. Artifacts being returned include an 18th century manuscript, a number of pottery pieces aged between 300 and 1500 AD and a stone jaguar-human statue.
