HSI Washington DC investigation leads to war crimes charges for 4 individuals affiliated with the Russian military
Four Russia-affiliated military personnel have been charged with war crimes following an investigation conducted by Homeland Security Investigations Washington D.C. field office, the FBI’s Washington, D.C. field office, HSI’s Human Rights Violators and War Crimes Center and FBI’s International Human Rights Unit. The charges are the first to be filed against Russia-affiliated personnel following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.🔗Keep reading

ICE conducts single adult, family unit removal flights Dec. 4 - 8
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, working in coordination with the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, facilitated removal flights, including single adults and family units to Central America, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Peru, South Korea and Venezuela from Dec. 4 – 8. If a noncitizen arrives and has no legal basis to remain in the United States they will be processed and removed quickly, consistent with U.S. law. 🔗Keep reading

HSI San Diego, multiple agencies announce results of local human trafficking task force of Operation Home for the Holidays
As part of a joint investigation with the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force, law enforcement agencies — including Homeland Security Investigations — announced the results of Operation Home for the Holidays. As a result of the multiday operation, 12 people were offered support services and two arrests were made. 🔗Keep Reading
ERO Philadelphia removes former Pittsburgh Pirates baseball star to Venezuela
ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Philadelphia removed Felipe Javier Rivero Blanco, a citizen of Venezuela with a final order of removal, to Venezuela on Dec. 1. Rivero was convicted of statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age and 10 counts related to child sexual abuse material. He is a former baseball player for the Pittsburgh Pirates. 🔗Keep reading
