ICE conducts single adult, family unit removal flights Nov. 3
ICE, in coordination with DHS and CBP, facilitated multiple removal flights, including single adults and family units, to Central America, Colombia, Ecuador, Ghana, Mauritania, Peru, Senegal and Venezuela, as part of dozens of other routine ICE removal flights conducted throughout the hemisphere and around the world. Since May 2023, DHS has removed or returned more than 336,000 individuals, including more than 50,000 individual family unit members. 🔗Keep reading

ERO Philadelphia removes noncitizen wanted for murder in Mexico
On Oct. 26, ERO Philadelphia deported Juan Martinez Merida, a Mexican citizen subject to a final removal order, to Mexico. A wanted fugitive, Martinez is sought by Mexican law enforcement authorities for murder. Prior to his deportation, he had encountered U.S. border authorities on at least seven occasions, receiving the option of voluntary departure. 🔗Keep reading

HSI Frederick joined other federal, state and local enforcement agencies on Oct. 26 to recognize officially the creation of a new Interagency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force in Frederick, Maryland. 🔗Keep reading
ERO Washington, D.C. apprehends Peruvian national charged with sex crimes against Virginia minor
ERO Washington, D.C. apprehended an undocumented noncitizen charged with sexually abusing a Virginia minor. Deportation officers with ERO Washington, D.C.’s Mobile Criminal Apprehension Team and Special Response Team arrested him near his residence in Arlington, Virginia, on Oct. 19. 🔗Keep reading
HSI repatriates stolen and looted cultural property to Italy
HSI repatriated 30 artifacts to the Republic of Italy’s Ambassador to the United States Mariangela Zappia during a ceremony held at the Embassy of Italy in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 31. The repatriation included myriad artifacts, such as ancient books and manuscripts, coins, paintings, statues and sculptures, an ammonite fossil and a Greco-Roman bronze helmet. 🔗Keep reading
