ICE conducts single adult, family unit removal flights Oct. 6
ICE, in coordination with DHS and CBP, facilitated multiple removal flights, including single adults and family units to Colombia, Central America, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Peru as part of dozens of other routine ICE removal flights conducted throughout the hemisphere and around the world. Since May 2023, DHS has removed or returned more than 295,000 individuals, including more than 43,000 individual family unit members. 🔗 Keep reading

Joint HSI investigation leads to indictments against China-based chemical manufacturing companies, employees for fentanyl trafficking
On Oct. 3, DHS Secretary Alejandro N. Mayorkas highlighted HSI and CBP efforts to disrupt fentanyl precursor supply chains. He noted that they worked with federal partners to investigate and intercept chemicals smuggled by Mexican cartels, leading to three indictments against China-based companies and individuals for fentanyl trafficking, precursor imports, counterfeit postage and money laundering. 🔗Keep reading
ERO Newark arrests previously removed Mexican national convicted of a child sex offense
On Sept. 27, ERO Newark arrested a 48-year-old Mexican national in Bridgeton who was convicted of endangering-sexual conduct with a child. Despite being removed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection twice before, he is in ICE custody facing possible criminal prosecution for multiple illegal reentries.🔗Keep reading
HSI Tucson, multiagency case results in 11-year sentence for weapon-possessing felon who distributed meth
HSI, the FBI and the DEA jointly conducted an investigation that led to an Arizona man receiving a 135-month prison sentence followed by five years of supervised release for his involvement in the distribution of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. 🔗Keep reading
ERO New York City removes Hungarian fugitive wanted for attempted drug trafficking in his home country
On Sept. 14, ERO New York City deported an unlawfully present noncitizen foreign fugitive to Hungary, where he is wanted for attempted drug trafficking. Authorities flew him from JFK Airport in Queens to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, where he was handed over to Hungarian authorities. 🔗Keep reading
