ICE conducts single adult, family unit removal flights Sept. 14
ICE, in coordination with DHS and CBP, facilitated multiple removal flights, including single adults and family units to Central America, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Senegal as part of dozens of other routine ICE removal flights conducted throughout the hemisphere and around the world. The flight to Senegal facilitated the removal of 132 Senegalese nationals – all entered the United States in 2023 and were apprehended along the Southwest border. Since May 2023, DHS has removed or returned more than 250,000 individuals, including more than 36,000 individual family unit members. 🔗 Keep reading

ERO Newark arrests Turkish citizen wanted for child sexual abuse conviction
On Sept. 8, ERO Newark apprehended a Turkish citizen who obtained a nonimmigrant visa to enter the United States through fraudulent means by failing to disclose a prior child sexual abuse conviction in Türkiye. 🔗Keep reading
HSI Flagstaff, multiagency task force arrest Arizona man for sex crimes against children
In early September, a collaborative effort between HSI Flagstaff and a multiagency task force led to the arrest of an Arizona man on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor. The Navajo County Major Crimes Apprehension Team investigated the case with support from HSI special agents. 🔗Keep reading
ERO Washington, D.C. deports El Salvadoran fraud suspect
ERO Washington, D.C. removed Jose Wilfredo Andrade, on Sept. 8, who is wanted by Salvadoran authorities for aggravated fraud. His removal and transfer of custody to the Salvadoran National Police occurred without incident. 🔗Keep reading
HSI Baltimore investigation yields 30-month prison sentence for Maryland man illegally exporting firearms to Ghana
After an investigation by HSI Baltimore and partner agencies, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland sentenced Eric Nana Kofi Ampong Coker, a 41-year-old Maryland resident, to 30 months in prison for the unlawful export of firearms to Ghana. He will remain on supervised release for two years after he's released from prison. 🔗Keep reading
