HSI San Diego, multiagency case sends leader of international steroid distribution scheme to prison for 8 years
On Aug. 28, a federal court handed down a 96-month prison sentence to an individual from New York. He was found guilty of orchestrating an operation to globally distribute steroids and effectively launder the substantial earnings using both physical currency and cryptocurrency. ERO Houston removes Mexican fugitive wanted for attempted femicide
ERO Houston, with collaboration from ERO Mexico and the Security Alliance for Fugitive Enforcement Task Force, successfully deported a 43-year-old Mexican national who was unlawfully present in the United States on Aug. 25. He is wanted in Mexico for aggravated attempted femicide. 🔗Keep reading
Multiagency investigation involving HSI Tucson leads to prison sentence for Nigerian national who defrauded elderly US victims
A man with dual U.K.-Nigerian citizenship who was extradited to the United States from the UK received a 90-month prison sentence for participating in a transnational inheritance fraud scheme. ERO arrests 366 noncitizens during recent national operation
ERO arrested 366 noncitizens in a national operation from Aug. 4 to 25. They targeted priority fugitive noncitizens and those who illegally reentered the U.S., including those with criminal convictions such as felonies, murder for hire, manslaughter, sex crimes against children, assault with a firearm, battery, domestic violence, drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and driving under influence. 🔗Keep reading
