HSI repatriates high-profile dinosaur fossils to Mongolia
At a ceremony at the Library of Congress on Aug. 3, HSI returned a collection of dinosaur fossils to Mongolia’s ambassador to the United States. The fossils were recovered through HSI investigations in Arizona, New York, and Wyoming.

ERO Chicago arrests unlawfully present Venezuelan fugitive wanted for funding terrorism
ERO Chicago’s Fugitive Operations Team arrested an unlawfully present Venezuelan national on Aug. 8. The man, wanted in Venezuela for fraud, money laundering and organized crime, is in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings.🔗Keep reading
HSI participates in arrest of 12 alleged drug, firearms traffickers in New Mexico
Twelve alleged drug and firearms traffickers were arrested on Aug. 1 in a coordinated, multiagency enforcement operation that included HSI in Carlsbad, New Mexico. A federal grand jury returned seven indictments on April 19 and July 19. A criminal complaint was issued on Aug. 1 as part of the investigation. 🔗Keep reading
ERO New Orleans arrests 7 during weeklong operation
ERO New Orleans’ suboffice in Jackson arrested seven unlawfully present individuals who pose a threat to public safety in a weeklong operation.
