HSI Kansas City acting Special Agent in Charge of Taekuk Cho announced a new collaborative initiative to combat fentanyl in Kansas: the Joint Fentanyl Impact Team. ERO Baltimore apprehends previously removed noncitizen sex offender in Maryland
Deportation officers from ERO Baltimore arrested an undocumented noncitizen and convicted sex offender on July 19 in New Carrollton. The 39-year-old Salvadoran national had been previously removed from the United States following an April 2022 conviction for a third-degree sex offense in Baltimore County. 🔗Keep reading
Operation Rolling Fire targets child predators, human traffickers; rescues 5 victims
HSI Fayetteville partnered with more than 20 local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and nongovernmental organizations during a three-day child exploitation and human trafficking recovery initiative. The effort led to five child exploitation arrests and the recovery of one firearm, helped three human trafficking victims and led to the rescue of two endangered children in Northwest Arkansas. 🔗Keep reading
ERO Detroit arrests unlawfully present Honduran citizen facing proposed murder charges in his home country
ERO Detroit arrested an unlawfully present citizen of Honduras in Adrian, Michigan, on July 11. He is wanted in his home country for proposal to commit murder. The 21-year-old noncitizen unlawfully entered the United States on an unknown date at an unknown location. 🔗Keep reading
HSI arrests daycare worker, seeks public's help to identify victims
HSI special agents are seeking the public’s help to identify possible victims in an ongoing child sexual exploitation investigation involving a Louisiana man who worked as a daycare specialist. On July 24, HSI New Orleans and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Max Cory Johnson Jr. on child exploitation charges after an investigation revealed he was accessing and downloading child sexual abuse material. 🔗Keep reading
