Houston stash house operator, who held 97 noncitizens captive, sentenced to prison
Henry Licona-Larios, a 34-year-old unlawfully present Honduran national, was sentenced in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas to 41 months in prison for conspiracy to harbor unlawfully present noncitizens. Licona-Larios pleaded guilty to the charges on May 24, 2022. He is expected to be placed into removal proceedings following his incarceration. 🔗Keep reading

California man convicted of passing over $1M in counterfeit bonds following HSI investigation
A California man pleaded guilty May 1 to passing counterfeit U.S. savings bonds over three years. The plea follows a collaborative investigation between HSI, the U.S. Secret Service, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Inspector General and the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office. 🔗Keep reading
ERO Washington, D.C. operation results in conviction for Salvadoran citizen who reentered US after removal
An ERO Washington, D.C. operation resulted in the conviction of a Salvadoran national for unlawfully reentering the United States after a prior removal. Victor Manuel Romero-Diaz, 40, of El Salvador, received his conviction at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Richmond April 14. 🔗Keep reading
ERO San Antonio returned fugitive wanted for aggravated theft, arson and criminal organization in his home country
Officers with ERO San Antonio removed an unlawfully present foreign fugitive wanted in Paraguay for theft, arson and criminal organization on April 17. Armando Cesar Zacarias,37, is accused of starting a fire and robbing the Itapuense Municipality in Paraguay. 🔗Keep reading
