HSI helps repatriate stolen cultural property to Yemen with Smithsonian's help

Man sentenced to more than 4 years in federal prison for assaulting CBP officer
An HSI Nogales investigation will put a 21-year-old Mexican national behind bars for 51 months. The man attacked a CBP officer after she asked him for proof of citizenship, slamming her to the ground and causing her head to hit the concrete. He pleaded guilty to one count of assault on a federal officer resulting in bodily injury.ย ๐Keep reading

Fugitive Operations Team members in Boston acted on an international arrest warrant to bring in a man wanted for murder in his home country of Brazil. If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison. ๐Keep reading

Nigerian national extradited from UK to face elder fraud charges
Officials extradited a Nigerian national to face fraud charges in the United States after he was indicted for defrauding the elderly. Emmanuel Samuel and five others stand accused of pretending to be Spanish bankers holding millions in inheritance money as part of an international scheme to swindle cash from elderly victims.
