ICE HSI Baltimore-led investigation nets MS-13 gang leader a life sentence in federal prison 

An investigation led by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations Baltimore field office resulted in a life sentence for an El Salvadoran citizen and notorious gang leader. Junior Noe Alvarado-Requeno, 24, of Landover, Maryland, was sentenced to life in federal prison for conspiring to participate in La Mara Salvatrucha, also known as MS-13, and for three counts each of murder in aid of racketeering and conspiracy to commit murder in aid of racketeering, as well as for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana and cocaine.  Read more

An investigation led by ICE HSI Washington results in a 5-year prison term for an Ohio man

An investigation led by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations Washington landed a Cleveland, Ohio man in federal prison for attempting to solicit sexual activity from someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl from Virginia. Matthew Benjamin Foltz, 29, used an online messaging application “Whisper” to engage in sexually explicit conversations with an undercover agent.  Read more

South Texas woman sentenced to more than 21 years for illegally importing $1.4M in meth, following ICE HSI, federal partner investigation

A south Texas woman was sentenced to more than 21 years for illegally importing approximately 76 kilograms of methamphetamines, following an investigation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations with assistance from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
