HSI Washington’s field office and Defense Criminal Investigative Service’s Mid-Atlantic field office led an investigation of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ arms smuggling network, resulting in the seizure of a large stockpile of weapons, including 171 surface-to-air missiles and eight anti-tank missiles, as well as approximately 1.1 million barrels of Iranian petroleum products.  Read more

FINANCIAL CRIMES |  LA fashion district company owner sentenced to prison for committing customs violations and tax offenses following HSI probe

The owner of a garment company in the fashion district of downtown Los Angeles was sentenced to 12 months and one day in federal prison for scheming to undervalue imported garments and avoid paying millions of dollars in duties to the United States, failing to report millions of dollars in income on tax returns and failing to report large cash transactions to the federal government.
