ICE announced a new web-based, bilingual and smartphone compatible appointment scheduler for noncitizens. Called the ICE Appointment Scheduler, it is available at www.ice.gov/check-in. The launch of this tool will allow noncitizens to schedule their required check-in appointments at ERO offices as they await immigration proceedings. Read more

FINANCIAL CRIMES | Disbarred lawyer found guilty of multiple felonies for stealing client settlement money and cheating on federal income taxes
A disbarred personal injury lawyer was found guilty by a federal jury of 22 felonies for stealing the majority of a multimillion-dollar settlement that should have been paid to a car accident victim, as well as cheating on his federal income taxes. This was the result of an investigation by HSI Los Angeles, the IRS and the FBI. Read more
