ICE is preparing for a surge in anticipated fraud by criminal networks related to COVID-19 vaccines and treatments. In response, HSI has launched Operation Stolen Promise 2.0, the next phase of strategic efforts to identify and prevent the production, sale and distribution of unapproved or unauthorized COVID-19 products and drugs. NARCOTICS | ICE, federal agents seize $3.5 million in cash and drugs at truck yard in Otay Mesa

ICE agents worked with other federal agents to bring down three Mexican nationals suspected of trafficking huge quantities of illicit drugs for the Sinaloa Cartel. They were charged in federal court Nov. 24 in connection with what is believed to be the largest single cumulative seizure of cash, narcotics and ammunition discovered in this district. Read more

ERO | ICE arrests 2 criminal aliens released by Maryland county after detainers not honored

ICE arrested two criminal aliens after their release by Prince George’s County, Maryland, despite each having immigration detainers. Those arrested include a member of MS-13 and a convicted sex offender. Read more
