A California man pleaded guilty Nov. 4 to a federal conspiracy charge and admitted that he helped orchestrate a scheme in which Chinese nationals paid up to $60,000 to enter into sham marriages with U.S. citizens in the hope of obtaining "green cards". Learn more.

CHILD EXPLOITATION | 30-month sentence for man convicted of possession of child pornography
A 61-year-old man from Washington state was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Seattle to 30 months in prison for possession of child pornography, announced ICE Special Agent in Charge Robert Hammer and U.S. Attorney Brian T. Moran. Philip B. Gilbert, who was employed in the IT department of the Archdiocese of Seattle, was arrested on state charges in May 2019. He was charged federally in October 2019 and pleaded guilty in June 2020. Read more
