Cooperation with local law enforcement is essential to protecting public safety
ICE has repeatedly asked local jurisdictions to reconsider non-cooperation policies because those policies put politics before public safety. On Friday, ICE released more examples of foreign nationals with active ICE detainers who have been arrested for serious criminal offenses. ICE asks each of these jurisdictions to transfer these individuals to federal custody instead of releasing them to the community where they may reoffend. Read more
Human Trafficking | ICE HSI, police arrest 21 during 3-day Kansas City operation to combat human trafficking
A three-day law enforcement op to combat human trafficking and vice resulted in 21 arrests
ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the Independence (Missouri) Police Department, arrested 21 individuals during an undercover operation to combat human trafficking for various crimes, including prostitution, promoting prostitution, possessing controlled substances, and weapons offenses. One individual was charged with violating the Mann Act. Read more

Child exploitation | Illegal alien convicted in Oklahoma of attempting to sexually entice an 11-year-old girl
This was a joint investigation with HSI, ERO and Tulsa PD
A man illegally residing in the United States was found guilty Wednesday in federal court of attempting to persuade online an 11-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity. Two years earlier, this man had also molested the child while she stayed at a friend’s house. Read more

Enforcement & Removal | ICE removes Romanian national wanted in home country to serve sentence for conviction on injuries causing death
ERO removed a Romanian national who is wanted in his home country on criminal charges. Ioan Flore was removed from the United States via commercial air and upon arrival in Romania, ERO transferred Flore to the proper authorities. Read more
