Dozens of young victims who were being actively abused by site users rescued

Jong Woo Son, 23, a South Korean national, was indicted by a federal grand jury in the District of Columbia for operating Welcome To Video, the largest child sexual exploitation market by volume of content. The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately eight terabytes of child sexual exploitation videos, which is one of the largest seizures of its kind. Read more

Convicted in 1996 as part of a large-scale terrorism plot

A Sudanese national convicted in 1996 with nine others as part a large-scale terrorism plot against the U.S. was deported by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), and handed over to his home country’s authorities. Amir Abdelghani, 59, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for his part in the conspiracy headed by the Egyptian cleric Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman to target the United Nations, FBI offices and other New York City landmarks. Read more
