On July 23, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers removed Mehmet Hakan Atilla, 48, who was convicted in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York of conspiracy, bank fraud and money laundering, in violation of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Learn more.

ERO Newark officers arrested a Mexican national charged by the Egg Harbor Township Police Department in New Jersey for causing death while driving without a license, a 3rd degree felony. Jorge Rodriguez-Saldana, 30, was driving a vehicle that struck a grandmother and her two grandchildren, killing a seven-year-old child and critically injuring the grandmother. Learn more.
