It’s not too late to learn about the latest news affecting SEVP-certified schools and international students. The Spring 2019 SEVP InFocus Webinar recording is now available on Study in the States. 

The Spring 2019 SEVP InFocus Webinar aired on Thursday, May 9, 2019, and featured the latest program news and updates affecting SEVP-certified schools and international students.

During the webinar, SEVP representatives discussed current and upcoming program initiatives of interest to designated school officials (DSOs), including:

  • Government Accountability Office audit recommendations;
  • Recent SEVP Portal releases;
  • Science, technology, engineering and mathematics optional practical training reporting reminders;
  • Record keeping best practices; and
  • Important resources on Study in the States.

This webinar was intended for DSOs at SEVP‑certified schools, and those with an interest in the latest topics and trends in international education.

On June 11, 2019, at 2 p.m. EDT, SEVP will present during the Get to Know SEVP: An Introduction to Working with International Students webinar in partnership with NCCPS, an organization dedicated to providing useful resources and information to support safer campus communities.

During the webinar, SEVP representatives will provide a program overview, discuss ways campus law enforcement officials can incorporate international students into emergency preparedness, share hot topics and the latest updates affecting F and M students, and review free resources available to NCCPS stakeholders. SEVP encourages members of the campus law enforcement community to save the date and tune in!
