SEVP recently added two new resource pages to Study in the States: Maintaining Accurate SEVIS Records and Special Student Relief. Check out these pages to learn more about DSO record keeping and reporting requirements for their F and M students and SEVP-certified school, as well as who qualifies for special student relief in emergent circumstances.
Stephanie Kim, DSO and international student coordinator, at Mid-Pacific Institute in Honolulu, Hawaii, shared helpful resources for kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12) DSOs as part of International Education Week on Study in the States. Regarding school safety, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Academic Engagement (OAE) released a K-12 exercise starter kit this month focusing on an active shooter scenario.
For more information on OAE’s exercise starter kits and how to request one, read this press release.
