ICE arrests 105 in New Jersey operation targeting criminal aliens and public safety threats

Four individuals in the country illegally who have Interpol warrants based on crimes they committed in their home countries were among 105 foreign nationals taken into custody during a five-day operation conducted by ICE last week in New Jersey.  The operation, which was spearheaded by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), targeted at-large criminal aliens, illegal re-entrants and other immigration violators and was supported by ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) New Jersey Field Office.

4 indicted in Panama Papers investigation

Four were charged Tuesday for their roles in the Panamanian-based global law firm’s decades-long scheme to defraud the United States.  This following an investigation by ICE HSI New York’s El Dorado Task Force working with The Internal Revenue Service’s Criminal Investigation Unit (IRS-CI), the Criminal Division for the Department of Justice and U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY). Read more

Priest charged with sexually abusing Filipino boys

An American priest from Cincinnati has been charged by a federal criminal complaint for allegedly sexually abusing minor boys.  The charges follow an international investigation that spanned two continents by ICE HSI and authorities in the Philippines. Read more

Member of Mexican sex trafficking ring sentenced to 8 years' imprisonment

Raul Granados-Rendon, a member of the Granados family sex trafficking ring, was sentenced in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York to eight years’ imprisonment.  Pursuant to an investigation by ICE HSI in New York, Granados-Rendon pled guilty in December 2017 to trafficking young Mexican women into the United States and forcing them into prostitution. As part of his sentence, the defendant was ordered to pay $1,305,393.80 in restitution to Jane Doe. Read more

ICE arrests 58 in New England enforcement action

Officers from ICE ERO Boston arrested 58 people in enforcement activities during a 5-day period, ending Dec. 4, in the New England region. 

Criminal histories of those arrested during the operation included charges and convictions for: Murder, Aggravated Identity Theft, Assault, Attempted Assault, Cocaine Possession, Cocaine Trafficking, Criminal, DUI and multiple other categories of crimes. Read more
