Learn about the latest news affecting SEVP-certified schools and international students during the Winter 2018 SEVP InFocus Webinar

Are you up to date with the latest news from the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)? Join the us for the Winter 2018 SEVP InFocus Webinar on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, from 2 to 3 p.m. EST, to hear the latest program news and updates affecting SEVP-certified schools and international students. This webinar will feature three SEVP field representative presenters, who will provide their insight and experience on key topics and trends affecting stakeholders.

During the webinar, SEVP field representatives will discuss:

  • Fall 2018 Unified Agenda items and breaking program news;
  • Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) Release 6.41 and the unemployment calculator;
  • Updates from SEVP units, such as SEVIS annual verification;

  • Record keeping best practices and travel tips for the winter holidays;
  • Statistics showcasing SEVP’s interactions with government partners; and

This webinar will provide important updates, reminders and information for designated school officials (DSOs) at SEVP‑certified schools, and those with an interest in the latest topics and trends in international education.

The Government Voices Webinar: Campus Partnerships with U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) aired on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018. Project Campus Sentinel, Project Shield America, and SEVP representatives had an in-depth discussion about their role in the international student life cycle, how they work together, and their work with the academic community to safeguard national security. SEVP answered pre-submitted questions and took live questions during the webinar.
