More than 2 dozen arrested in NYC following a wiretap investigation

Thirty-two individuals were arrested on narcotics and gambling charges following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in New York, working jointly with The New York City Police Department (NYPD). The investigation uncovered a large-scale alleged cocaine and heroin distribution network centered in the East Village and a related gambling operation located in a busy commercial district near West 11th Street and Avenue of the Americas in the West Village.

Puerto Rican man found guilty of possessing, training dogs for fighting

After a two-day trial presided by U.S. District Court Chief Judge Gustavo Gelpi, a Puerto Rican man was found guilty of possessing and training animals for dog fighting. ICE HSI conducted the investigation that led to his arrest and subsequent conviction. Full Story
