results of a two-phase nationwide operation in which I-9 audit notices were
served to more than 5,200 businesses since January.

arrests 65 during Operation Cross Check in New York City and Long Island

Officers from
ICE Enforcement and Removal
Operations (ERO) arrested 65 individuals during a five-day period for violating
U.S. immigration laws. Sixty-four of those arrested had been previously
removed from the United States and returned illegally. Several had prior
felony convictions for serious or violent offenses, such as sexual offenses,

A Virginia man
was sentenced to 276 months in prison for traveling from the United States to
Haiti and engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor. The sentence
resulted from an investigation by ICE HSI. Full Story |

was sentenced to life in federal prison for sex trafficking underage girls. The
case was investigated by ICE HSI, the FBI, and the Texas police departments of Fort
