The Spring 2018 SEVP InFocus Webinar aired on May 3, 2018, and discussed the
latest program news and updates for designated school officials. Specifically,
the webinar reviewed the SEVP Portal, SEVIS upload evidence functionality,
evidence checklists on ICE.gov/SEVP, and tips and reminders for summer vacation,
including annual vacation eligibility and international student travel. If you

SEVP and the U.S. Customs and Border
Protection (CBP) held the Government
Voices Webinar: What to Expect at a U.S. Port of Entry on May 16,
2018. CBP officers and SEVP subject matter experts had an in‑depth discussion
about the U.S. port of entry processes nonimmigrant students encounter
throughout the student life cycle, including:
- Primary vs. secondary inspection.
- Documentation.
- How entry processes may differ at land, air
and sea ports of entry.
- Other topics related to student entry to the
United States.
