Are you prepared for the SEVP Portal release?

SEVP’s second SEVP Special Report Webinar will air on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 2 to 3 p.m. EDT and introduce the SEVP Portal, which is scheduled to deploy on March 23, 2018. During the webinar, SEVP representatives will discuss how to create an SEVP Portal account, how to navigate the portal, and answer both frequently asked questions from stakeholders and live questions from the audience.

This webinar is designed for designated school officials (DSOs) and international students, primarily F-1 international students engaged in post-completion optional practical training (OPT) or science, technology, engineering and mathematics OPT, and M-1 students engaged in practical training. DSOs: let your students thinking of or currently participating in practical training know about this webinar.

We anticipate that this webinar will reach the maximum viewership capacity of 1,000 attendees. We encourage stakeholders to hold viewing parties to ensure that the maximum number of stakeholders can access this webinar. A recording will be available on the SEVP Special Report Webinar: SEVP Portal page on Study in the States shortly after the event.

Curious about the U.S. port of entry process?

Join SEVP and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) this May for the Government Voices Webinar: What to Expect at a U.S. Port of Entry. This webinar will focus on processes that impact students at U.S. ports of entry and the forms CBP officers use when deciding whether to admit nonimmigrant students into the United States. SEVP and CBP will take pre-submitted questions from the academic community, in addition to live questions during the webinar. Stay tuned to the Study in the States Stakeholder Webinars page and social media for further details.

Did you catch the SEVP Response Center webinar?

The last SEVP Ask the Experts Webinar aired on Feb. 28, 2018, and took an in-depth look at the SEVP Response Center (SRC), including its organization, duties and responsibilities. During the webinar, SRC customer service representatives discussed best practices for stakeholders contacting SRC with questions, recent changes to the correction request process and planned enhancements.

A recording of the live webinar and associated resources are available on the Study in the States SEVP Ask the Experts Webinar: Get to Know the SEVP Response Center page.
