Operation Matador nets 39 MS-13 arrests in last 30 days

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York, along with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), announced their recent launch of Operation Matador and the DHS Transnational Organized Crime Initiative (DHS TOCI), which represents a unified effort dedicated to combat the proliferation of MS-13 and other transnational criminal gang activity in the New York City metropolitan area, including Long Island.

North Texas man sentenced to life in federal prison for child sex trafficking

A North Texas man was sentenced Monday by U.S. District Judge David C. Godbey to life in federal prison for felony child sex trafficking offenses. This case was investigated by members of the North Texas Trafficking Task Force, which included ICE HSI, the Mesquite (TX) Police Department, Department of Public Safety (Garland), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and Child Protective Services. Learn more

SC gang sentenced for drive-by shootings following ICE HSI investigation

One member and two associates of the “Wildboys” street gang were sentenced to federal prison June 2 after each pleaded guilty to attempted murder in aid of racketeering for their roles in retaliatory attacks against another rival gang in the South Carolina Lowcountry. The sentencings follow an investigation by ICE HSI in coordination with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) as well as multiple state and local law enforcement agencies. Learn more

7 Puerto Rican men indicted, arrested on child exploitation charges

Following an ICE HSI probe, special agents assigned to the HSI San Juan Child Exploitation Investigations Group (CEIG) arrested Tuesday and Wednesday seven men on child exploitation charges. The arrests were part of law enforcement operation targeting child predators dubbed “Firewall” that took place in Lajas, Orocovis, Aguada, Cataño, Florida, Carolina and Ponce. Learn more
