70 arrested in Dallas and Oklahoma areas during 3-day ICE operation targeting criminal aliens, illegal re-entrants and immigration fugitives

Federal officers from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested 70 criminal aliens and others throughout the Dallas and Oklahoma areas during a three-day enforcement action.

ICE ERO Newark Field Office arrested 113 criminal targets as part of the agency’s ongoing public safety and national security efforts. The operation was supported by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s New Jersey Field Office, the New Jersey State Parole Office and ICE Homeland Security Investigations. Full Story

ICE removes former soldier, human rights violator to El Salvador

ICE ERO removed a former soldier, Jose Francisco Grijalva Monroy, 49, who was involved in torturing suspected guerillas during his service in the Salvadorian Army. ERO officers turned him over to immigration authorities in El Salvador. Monroy admitted he tied suspected guerrillas to the back of an army Jeep and dragged them on the road until their skin came off. Full Story

ICE removes man sought for homicide in Tijuana

A Mexican national, Daniel Evaristo Soto-Hernandez, 35, wanted in his native country for a homicide committed almost two years ago was turned over to Mexican law enforcement officials by ICE at the San Ysidro Port of Entry. Soto is charged in a Mexican arrest warrant issued Feb. 9 with a fatal shooting that occurred Nov. 10, 2015, in Tijuana’s Colonia Jardin Dorado neighborhood. Full Story

Atlanta HSI, CBP establish coordination center to promote trade enforcement

ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Atlanta Special Agent in Charge Nick Annan and U.S. Customs and Border Protection Acting Atlanta Field Office Director Robert M. Del Toro signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the agencies to implement the Atlanta Trade Enforcement Coordination Center (TECC). Full Story
