ICE ERO immigration arrests climb nearly 40%
In the 100 days since President Donald J. Trump signed Executive Orders (EOs) regarding immigration enforcement priorities, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested more than 41,000 individuals who are either known or suspected of being in the country illegally. This reflects an increase of 37.6 percent over the same period in 2016.

ICE expands digital presence with Spanish website, Twitter

Last week, ICE launched ICE.gov/es, an expanded Spanish language presence on our website. The translated site offers information about ICE and the agency’s mission, as well as press releases and special features.
One of the highlights of ICE.gov/es is informing Spanish-speaking audiences about the important work ICE does, such as combating child exploitation, human trafficking and fighting transnational gangs. Learn more

An Akron, Ohio, man was ordered deported on Tuesday for failing to disclose his involvement in a military unit engaged in war crimes in the former Yugoslavia, following an investigation by ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

A California businessman has admitted to directing the manufacture of counterfeit veterinary-product labels and sending them to Houston.
Michael Chihwen Wang, 49, of Buena Park, CA, was the vice president of CYU Lithographics Inc., doing business as Choice Lithographics in Buena Park. Between July 2015 and December 2016, Wang directed the manufacture of counterfeit trademarked Frontline, Frontline Plus and Merial veterinary product labels and shipped them to Houston. Learn more

A Mexican national wanted in his native country for sex trafficking minors was handed over to Mexican law enforcement officials by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) at the DeConcini Port of Entry in Nogales.
In addition to sex trafficking, the Mexican arrest warrant issued in June 2014 charges Mendiola-Castaneda with the aggravated sexual exploitation of minors. The charging document alleges Mendiola-Castaneda sexually exploited two young girls at hotels and residences in Toluca, Mexico, and participated in sexual acts with the minors. Learn more

ICE honors fallen heroes during Police Week
During National Police Week, ICE joined its law enforcement partners throughout the country to honor and pay tribute to those officers and agents who have made the ultimate sacrifice to make our nation and all her citizens safer and more secure.
This year held special significance for ICE, as we honored the life and service of two fallen heroes: Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent J. Scott McGuire and Enforcement and Removal Operations Deportation Officer Brian P. Beliso. Learn more about National Police Week
