Read SEVP's Guidance for ACICS-Accredited Schools

SEVP can no longer accept Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) accreditation for certification purposes, as ACICS is no longer a recognized accreditor by the U.S. Department of Education. All SEVP-certified schools that are accredited by ACICS must update their Form I-17, “Petition for Approval of School for Attendance by Nonimmigrant Student,” whether a school finds a new accreditor or decides, if permitted, to provide SEVP with additional evidence in lieu of accreditation. Affected schools should respond to notices from SEVP.
