FEMA Region 6 Base Level Engineering (BLE) training

FEMA's nationally-run flood insurance training
Share these trainings with agents in your community. This webinar is a two-part course on FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program. Created for insurance agents with CEC varying by state, others are welcome to attend, but CE credit is not available. Attendees must complete both sessions in order to cover all topics required by the Flood Insurance Reform Act (FIRA) of 2004.

FEMA made changes to the Individual Assistance program, effective March 22, 2024, to simplify processes, remove barriers to entry, and increase eligibility for certain types of assistance. For example, FEMA will no longer require survivors to apply for a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loan before being considered for certain types of assistance. A Federal Register notice has been posted about the changes with the opportunity for public comment through July 22, 2024.
