NextGen TV, or ATSC 3.0, is the new television standard being rolled out by local broadcasters to communities across the U.S. and other parts of the world. |
Because it is based on Internet Protocol, the same technology that powers the Internet, it can work with the Internet to offer a variety of new emergency services. Join our July 19 webinar to learn how NextGen TV will support emergency managers in their role to alert and warn the public.
Our webinar presenters
Pete Sockett is Director of Engineering and Operations at Capitol Broadcasting Company. He works regularly with local emergency managers as Co-chair of the North Carolina State Emergency Communications Committee.
Jerry Fritz is Executive Vice President of Strategic and Legal Affairs at ONE Media, a subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcast Group.
Jerry works with local emergency managers though the Washington Metropolitan Council of Governments, where he oversees a pilot program using NextGen Broadcast technology for Advanced Emergency Information to supplement and complement council members' emergency alerting capabilities.
If you are unable to join us online, the audio portion of the program can be delivered via your phone. If you would like to ask the presenters questions, log into WebEx and follow the audio instructions when you join the webinar.
